Collection: Kamaka

Kamaka Ukulele, which started as "Kamaka Ukulele and Guitar Works" by Samuel Kaialiilii Kamaka in 1916, was reorganized as "Kamaka and Sons Enterprise" in 1945 and later "Kamaka Hawaii Co., Ltd." in 1968 while changing generations. Kamaka, which is synonymous with the Hawaiian ukulele, is Hawaii's longest-established ukulele maker and famous for producing the highest quality ukulele. Kamaka's tone is often expressed as having a "soft and tense sound" and a "feeling that the sound rolls forward". At first glance this may seem to be a contradiction, but all of the expressions are correct, because all of the performers are playing Kamaka ukuleles comfortably.
